Hope you enjoy!
We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
A profound example is Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (R). His dedication, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to service astounded his fellow companions. After Fajr, the Prophet ﷺ would sit with them and ask, "Who among you visited someone sick?" and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (R) would raise his hand. "Who among you followed a janazah?" Again, he would raise his hand. He was always ready to assist a friend or fulfill a need. His promptness in performing acts of goodness was remarkable.
When asked, "What is the secret of this man?" the Prophet ﷺ explained that it wasn’t necessarily due to Abu Bakr (R)’s prayers or fasting, though he performed these beautifully. Instead, what set him apart was the unwavering faith settled deep within his heart. It was his core conviction, his unshakeable belief. When the Qur'an was recited, he would pause, absorb, and fully commit to its guidance.
Even when people mocked the integrity of the Prophet ﷺ's message, questioning Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (R) about the Prophet's account of the Isra' wal-Mi'raj, the night journey, he stood firm. They asked, "Can you believe what your friend is saying?" Without hesitation, he responded, "If he said it, it is the truth." His confidence was unbreakable, his belief deeply rooted. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (R) faced many tests as a follower of the Prophet ﷺ and later as a leader. Yet, the integrity of his faith was always steadfast and evident.
May Allah ﷻ grant us integrity in our faith.
أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
