What does it mean to have a soft heart? When a person has the quality of rikka (softness, purity) within their heart, what should that entail?

It means a person gets very cool feelings within their hearts. I don't know if many of you have experienced this before. In Farsi we often say that “his heart has become very cold.” It's not necessarily when someone feels sad, but it's something that drives their heart towards a very cool feeling within. This is a sign of rikka (softness, purity).

Feelings of having empathy or hope, feeling very light, and a decrease of anxiety. These are all qualities of a heart having rikka (softness, purity).

May Allah ﷻ grant us softness in our hearts.
