We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Allah ﷻ reminds the Prophet ﷺ that your warning is not going to benefit these people, but there are others members of your community, members of humanity who will definitely benefit from it.

Allah ﷻ is telling the Prophet ﷺ that his warning benefits and impacts individuals who possess two key qualities:

  1. اتباع الذكر – Those who follow the reminder.

  2. خشية – Those who are in awe of the Most Compassionate without seeing Him.

Now, what does it mean to "follow the reminder"? الذكر - “the reminder" is one of the titles of the Qur’an. It has been called "the reminder" because it constantly reminds us of the existence, oneness, might, power, and glory of Allah ﷻ.

It reminds humanity of fundamental concepts our responsibilities, values, morals, ethics, and principles. Every time we recite the Qur’an, we are reminded of Allah ﷻ, our relationship with Him, and our purpose. It reminds us that He is our Lord, and we are His servants, bound to fulfill His rights upon us and honor the rights of others.

May Allah ﷻ grant us tawfiq to be among those who follow His reminder and fear Him with sincerity, granting us His mercy and reward.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
