We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali said that it is more important for you to preoccupy yourself by ridding yourself of spiritual maladies than trying to understand case law and all the different branches of juristic law.

Sometimes we want to increase the number of accolades and certifications we have. We want to learn this science and get that degree. These things have their merits and benefits for sure, but remember that in sequence it is more important to have a clean heart because that’s the basis of everything.

There’s an Arabic saying that it is better to have a clean heart and soiled clothing than to have a soiled heart in clean clothing.

Nowadays we have clean, crispy, elegant looking clothing on the outside, but what about the heart?

If there’s anything that’s going to benefit us before the Almighty, it is a clean heart.

May Allah grant us tawfiq to purify our hearts.
