Assalamu Alaykum,

Today’s gem is from Mufti Abdul Wahab Waheed’s class, Tour of Tales From The Dream To The Throne: The Journey of Yusuf (AS). In this gem, Mufti Abdul Wahab explains how Allah ﷻ always gives credit where credit is due.

Hope you enjoy!

We begin in the Name of Allah , the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad

Nothing is lost from a person when he is able to give other people credit. Nothing is lost from a person when he is able to praise someone else.

Allah ﷻ is a master at this, where he gives credit to people. In the Quran, Allah ﷻ says who built the Kaaba. In the Quran, who built it?

Originally it was built by Adam (AS). Then It was built by Ibrahim. None of us said who? None of us said Ismail (AS).

But Allah ﷻ says:

(Quran 2:127)

Ismail (AS) was a nine-year-old kid, but Allah ﷻ is giving him credit that he was also there, helping, and was a part of the building of the Kaaba.

Allah ﷻ praises people and gives credit to people.

May Allah ﷻ grant us tawfiq to give credit where credit is due.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
