Assalamu Alaykum,

Today’s gem is from Shaykh Mohammed Ishtiaq’s class, Prophetic Leadership. In this gem, Shaykh Ishtiaq shares the dua for looking in the mirror.

We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

This is how we get our inner and outer selves, inshallah, in line. This is the dua for looking at yourself in the mirror:

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي
Allahumma anta hasanta khalqi fahassin khuluqi
O Allah, just as You have made my external features beautiful, make my character beautiful as well.

Oh Allah, just as You have made my physical appearance beautiful, make my character beautiful as well." So whenever you see your beautiful self in the mirror, read this dua.

May Allah ﷻ make our character beautiful.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
