What's the definition of a hypocrite in our tradition?
A munafiq (hypocrite) is someone who says with their tongue what is not in their heart.
For example, if someone tells you, "You're so beautiful," but then goes behind your back and says, "You're so ugly," that's a hypocrite. They say one thing to your face, but in their heart, they don't believe it.
May Allah ﷻ protect us from hypocrisy.
