Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Whenever a person makes an effort, just a little bit of an effort, to do something for the sake of Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ opens up so many doors that they could not imagine.

Like that hadith: a person who takes one step towards Allah ﷻ, you move towards Allah ﷻ by one step, Allah ﷻ moves closer to you by much, much more. The bigger the step you take towards Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ doesn't just match that, Allah ﷻ beats it exponentially. And somebody who starts walking towards Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ comes running towards them.

This process of tazkiyah is our effort in getting close to Allah ﷻ. That's the ultimate goal here. Because we know we have Allah ﷻ on our side. And Allah ﷻ has promised us, whoever strives for us, Allah ﷻ says, strives to get closer to Allah ﷻ. And tazkiyah is a struggle. A person who struggles to get close to Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ says, I am going to open up all the paths.

So we know it's not as hard as it might seem from the outside. And anyone who tries to walk on this path sincerely, makes some effort, you will find every little effort that you make, Allah ﷻ is going to reward you right away with the fruits of that effort.

May Allah ﷻ grant us tawfiq to make efforts towards him and get rewarded for it.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
